Marlborough Golf Club is a members’ club with some 700 or more active players, men and women. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, unstuffy club as befits our artisan roots – see “History”. Our one hundred - strong Ladies Section enjoy equal standing with the men.
Both men and women have representative teams in the Wiltshire Leagues with excellent records of performance. In 2008 our Ladies scratch team won the division one championship and our Men’s scratch team have won division two and division one in successive years, 2006 and 2007. We also play a full programme friendly matches against nearby clubs at Junior, Senior, Ladies and Club levels.
There is no booking of tee times at our club. Our system of ‘turn up and play’ works surprisingly well and helps to foster the friendly atmosphere which we strive to maintain both in the clubhouse and on the course. If you join us knowing nobody you will have lots of friends within a few weeks!
There is an active social committee who plan and host many enjoyable events for those who wish to participate.
